The Seven Deadly Sins?
A set of qualities deemed by the early Catholic Church as being the worst of them all:
• Lust - obsessive or excessive sexual thoughts and desires
• Gluttony - overindulgence and waste
• Greed/Avarice - a desire for wealth and material things
• Sloth - laziness, but also apathy and depression
• Wrath/Anger - feelings of anger, hatred, vengeance, etc.
• Envy/Jealousy - a desire for others' successes and talents
• Pride/Vanity - self-love and arrogance, the deadliest sin
Why is pride/vanity the deadliest sin?
Supposedly because it is the reason why Satan (the Devil) fell from his original position as a high-ranking angel in Heaven. It also puts the individual and his/her desires before God, thus allowing all other sins to take place.
Un Peut D'Histoire
Sinful was first started at some point way back. At its peak, the original Sinful had well over 100 members. I closed it due to lack of interest and time. As I was maintaining it manually with no scripts, it took a lot of work and I eventually lost interest.
I have been branching out with web design, moving to XHTML, PHP, MYSQL and so on. Although I'm not as interested in web design as I used to be, I figured that it would be a lot more easy (and therefore fun, because it appeals to my slothful side) to run something like this with the help of a wonderful script.
